MEET PENNYDOG PATCHWORK
What is it that you love about being a quilter?
That I can be as diverse as I want and that it’s like art, you can express yourself like a painting, but usually it’s a bit less messy…. I also like the monotonous piecing bits because it’s nice to shut down my brain for a while, it has really improved my mental health since taking it up.
What made you start blogging about quilting?
Oh I blogged for years before I quilted! I used it as a semi promo tool for my jewellery business!

What gives you the most joy blogging about quilting?
It’s narcissistic (but then, isn’t all blogging really? I mean, it’s a public journal!) but I love getting a comment or two. Just knowing people return and actually want to follow what I am doing is incredibly gratifying. Sometimes I find my quilts elsewhere on other blogs after a show and that means so much more to me than judges comments (because usually they’re a bit pants).

I’m back and I love you!
I love reading interviews. I don’t understand quilting terms but I do love seeing the finished product. I especially love the last quilt of the dog with an open mouth!
I’m like that with most things in life – I don’t understand it, but I just like looking at all the pretty ๐
I’ve been following Kerry for awhile – I love her greyhound quilt, and her greyhound pics and stories. I’m also super in love with her new dog Hank!
She’s fabulous, isn’t she??! I’m looking forward to hearing all about her latest wedding related adventures!
Great interview – I loved Billy bass too but my favourite has to be the greyhounds quilt. Gorgeous.
I love them too – I just love Kerry’s applique technique. One day I’ll make a quilt inspired by her awesomeness.
